Announcing 2 new productions for our 2023/2024 theater season!
After the success of our production of Ad & Ned in January, we are excited to announce 2 new productions for the 2023/2024 season!
First up is This Random World by Steven Dietz. This play is a story of missed connections. From an ailing woman who plans one final trip, to her daughter planning one great escape and her son falling prey to a prank gone wrong, this funny, intimate, and heartbreaking play explores the lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own. This Random World is a charming, intimate meditation on the power of chance and how we might be closer to each other than we’ll ever know. This Random World will play September 21-23 at the Theater for the New City.
This season will also feature two short play showcases featuring our student actors. Our spring showcase, Prix Fixe: The Restaurant Plays, will feature 6 short plays all occurring in a single night at a New York restaurant. The comedies and tragedies of restaurant staff and patrons will play out in real time throughout this performance. Prix Fixe will play May 30-June 2 2024 at Theater for the New City.
This season will create opportunities for our students to gain experience on stage, showcase their talent and build their resumes to take that next step in their careers. We have plans to announce additional projects before the end of the 2024 season; stay tuned for updates!
